Anytime an "analyst" opens their mouth, it should be page 2 material at best.
lol i agree, that term got the same value as a "source" on some gossip site

threadless has some cool designs. I've been to the store in Chicago.... it was refreshing to be able to try them on before i bought them!
I bought a pint of frozen yogurt here tonight. Half Ghirardelli Chocolate, half Chocolate Butterfinger. So good.

Basically any modern media device can play MP4 which is what Apple uses on it's store. For example I can put music purchased from iTunes on my Android phone with no coversion at all.Can you name a few more? I have only seen Sony support AAC on their PMP devices.
How I wish Xbox would support their format. I like streaming music but it sucks having to convert my favorite song. My NookColor, Palm Pre Plus and Nexus can all play these songs just fine.

I was going to vote for Nies, but I'm pretty sure he's not a WW, so I'm going for -aggie-. It appears everyone else is smelling blood in the water and jumping into the feeding frenzy. I'll just keep my insights to myself for spite then.
Very odd not to vote for the next highest vote getter to save yourself. Even if he is a fellow wolf.

Obama's speech was awesome
Very well spoken ... never hurts to remind those who may think that he was some bit player in Al-Queda
I am very happy that Bin Laden got what was coming to him ... we also need to continue the fight on terrorism

Hyper-Threading (Intel Core i7 only) a technology that allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core. So a quad-core iMac has eight virtual cores, all of which are recognized by Mac OS X. This enables the processor to deliver faster performance by spreading tasks more evenly across a greater number of cores.

Not surprising given that Gateway's market share numbers come directly from the extremely low margin, low end systems they are dumping on the market. In other words they have higher volumes but they are making next to nothing (for some nearly selling at a loss) in order to get those volumes.
...basically the stock market knows that Gateway is not a very safe bet...
Which is exactly why Dell is taking a beating today (down 12%). Their margins are so low that any downturn in sales has a devastating effect on their profits. Apple has much larger margins (as they don't sell $300 computers), so they can afford a small downturn in sales (which isn't happening now anyway).

Dunno if this was posted, but Safari lets you resize text boxes within pages:

http://img272.imageshack.us/img272/6174/picture29ps1.th.png (http://img272.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture29ps1.png)
Would be better if it worked like OmniWeb and allowed you to open a resizable floating window for the text.

They could have avoided all this drama by just not announcing the white iPhone until it was ready, but noooo.
If no one knew it was planned, there wouldn't have been all this bitching, and Apple could have surprised us with it.

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but Apple's pc share has grown to 6.1% in the US; we trail by 0.3 percentage points for third place.
10% is in sight. Perhaps by the end of 2007!

Look, you made a claim that TB seemed like an evolution of Fiber channel. I use Fiber channel day in and out on everyone of my servers.
Your arguments would be stronger if you spelled it correctly - "Fibre Channel" ;)
...the bottom line is that TB is a great deal faster than even an eSATA connection.
While "great deal faster" is fuzzy language open to interpretation, IMO I don't consider 10 Gbps TBolt to be a "great deal faster" than 6 Gbps SATA. TBolt can't handle two SATA connections at full bandwidth - that's not a "great deal faster" in my opinion.
When it was called "Light Peak", the technology had a lot of promise. Now that it's been downgraded to daisy-chained copper - it's only a little bit better than USB 3.0. Except that we can buy USB 3.0 devices, it's still "in the future" for TBolt devices.

... anyway, this can be accomplished in Pages, but it requires a bit of creativity. Start with a custom page size (5.5 x 8.5 presumably). Lay out your booklet on these pages. Then, when printing the pdf, output 2-up. Reordering the pages into the correct order for printing is a bit of trick, but once you know the order, the pages can be dragged where they belong in the thumbnail viewer. This is really a job for a good page layout application, not a word processor of any kind. I sure wouldn't trust it to a Word Wizard.
Also, anyone who'd send a Word document to a printer with the expectation of good results is not anyone who I'd mistake for knowing the first thing about graphic arts or printing.
