Stolen from a Mini forum. I want one exactly in this configuration minus the white stripes. There's about a .000000001% I might pick one up for Christmas. :D

You should never feel full or stuffed. A donut is not faster to mow down than an Apple. It's not more filling either. It's tons more calories though.
<snip>
^^^^ All of that.
A huge problem (no pun intended) in America is the gigantic portions masquerading as meals in fast-food and casual restaurants. Some of the dishes available at very popular chains are absolutely ridiculous in size. Yet we buy them because they are a "good value." And let's face it - more often than not, we make a pretty good run at finishing off our plates, don't we? Unfortunately, that's just continuing the validation of the portion sizes...
I'm 6'-1" and 210# and when I go to a burger joint now, I usually get the kid's meal. I can't imagine going back to Jack's "Ultimate Cheeseburger" which in all honesty I used to love. :(

my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.
1. Democrats buy most of the books that have been banned somewhere. Republicans form censorship committees and read them as a group.
2. Republicans consume three-fourths of all the rutabaga produced in this country. The remainder is thrown out.
3. Republicans usually wear hats and always clean their paint brushes.
4. Democrats give their worn-out clothes to those less fortunate. Republicans wear theirs.
5. Republicans employ exterminators. Democrats step on the bugs.
6. Democrats name their children after currently-popular sports figures, politicians, and entertainers. Republican children are named after their parents or grandparents, according to where the money is.
7. Democrats keep trying to cut down on smoking but are not successful. Neither are Republicans.
8. Republicans tend to keep their shades drawn, although there is seldom any reason why they should. Democrats ought to, but don't.
9. Republicans study the financial pages of the newspaper. Democrats put them in the bottom of the bird cage.
10. Most of the stuff alongside the road has been thrown out of car windows by Democrats.
11. Republicans raise dahlias, Dalmatians, and eyebrows. Democrats raise Airedales, kids, and taxes.
12. Democrats eat the fish they catch. Republicans hang them on the wall.
13. Republican boys date Democratic girls. They plan to marry Republican girls, but feel that they're entitled to a little fun first.
14. Democrats make plans and then do something else. Republicans follow the plans their grandfathers made.
15. Republicans sleep in twin beds--some even in separate rooms. That is why there are more Democrats.

Why won't this rumor die?! Seriously. It makes MUCH more sense to make a set top box that is compatible with any tv, and thus have wider appeal and adoption than to make a TV that has to compete with every other TV manufacturer out there. This is not Apple's game. Their game it to look at a market that is not currently being exploited to its full extent, figure out what people may want, then come in and redefine that niche. Worked with the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. There were predecessor in each of these markets but Apple came in and completely dominated it because they redefined it and tied it into a (relatively) easy to use ecosystem. Ok, it a really easy to use ecosystem, just slow and bloated. :D
The rumor won't die, because Apple has a history to arrive late at a party, but leaving with the best looking girl (Read that someplace:-)
If that happens here with TV's that have to be a more mature Lady. LOL!

A number of convenient features catered to writers and typists will also be wrapped into Pages 3, including a thesaurus and integration with Spotlight, Wikipedia, and Google. Apple is also said to be looking to build a robust grammar checking engine for Pages that could find its way into other Apple and Cocoa applications.
I'm going to a MFA writing program in the fall; would love to see how this turns out. I use Word exclusively but can't shake the feeling that there's a better way to do things.

No surprise that Apple are developing an iphone suitable for T-Mobile and other carriers that use the same spectrum. It is only AT&T's exclusivity that's held them back so long. And it's only that exclusivity that's held them back from offering unsubsidised, unlocked iPhones in their stores. The iPhone will be 4 years old in June. maybe AT&T's stranglehold is coming to an end.
If you want to see an iPhone ecosystem to Apple's liking you need to look at the UK, where O2 only had exclusivity for 2 years. Within months, every major network and most of the minor ones started to offer the iPhone. Now even the chav (that probably translates best as "trailer-trash") supermarket network of choice, Tesco, sells it. Competition keeps the prices lowish, but not as low as the junk android handsets and Apple sells unlocked iPhones at full price for those of us with cheap SIM-only plans.

I can see the iPhone 4 coming out on T-Mobile in short order, probably once the white iPhone 4 is available. This way Verizon and T-Mobile will eventually be able to offer it as the lower cost iPhone in conjunction with iPhone 5. Right now only AT&T can exclusively offer the $49 iPhone 3GS alongside the iPhone 4. No carrier will have that exclusive low cost advantage with iPhone 5.
I think Apple launched iPhone 4 on Verizon while in the final phase of bringing it to T-Mobile.

Not if you go to clubs that play Linkin Park.
Or if you like Linkin Park, for that matter.
I rarely go to clubs.
I pre-ordered Iron Man 2 in Blu-ray 3-disc edition.

Shutter priority. Hand held. Built-in flash. Polarizing filter.
Thats some good exposure and framing. Also really good for a built-in flash too. How is that lens? Do they have a Canon version? That'd have some long reach on my Canon crop. Looks like it takes good pictures too!

The computers that are just finishing a CPU conversion, but are still rated as being good buys by non-Mac publications?
Perspective, my young padawan, perspective....
I hear a bit of what he is saying though. I mean there wasn't much innovation, just.... it was more like building the perfect car, say something like a Subaru WRX ( my car that I love very much) but replaced with a nicer engine from Porsche.... some better tires off a Lancer.... a nice tranny off of Porsche again.... neverthless... this is what they did with the Mac. Took some great stuff out there like Glossy Screen, Webcams, and Intel chips and put em in our loving Mac. However, the only piece of innocation was the Maglev charger. There was no new standards... no new gear. Yet, I do believe you are asking for too much if they are expected to innovate every product revision. Its becoming a very big company.... its no longer a couple thousand products where you can mess-up on some new innovation...
But I'm not worried... there hasn't been much innovation elsewhere either so its not like Apple is behind... they are in front. Just not WAY in front. We'll see what happens with Leopard/802.11N/Santa Rosa/HD DVDs/Hybrid HDs..... innovation is in the pipeline. Don't worry.
2007 is going to be a very good year.
And 2008 even better. Presidential Election! ;)

From my own experience the PS3 and the Nintendo DSi all read iTunes purchased music, albeit with some metadata weirdness.Metadata weirdness is what I have encountered trying to use files that I have in iTunes. It does not occur when importing into iTunes though, only exporting elsewhere.
I know that I have plenty of .songname files in my folders as well. Why iTunes, why?
Zune HD for one.
The Sansa Fuze+ line too. Creative Zen, Archos, Sonos, Squeezbox.I might have to get a Fuze then. I need something for the car for the times when NPR just is not up to par. I am looking at you weekends...
I am quite happy just buying used CDs and using LAME.

as will most.
this white phone delay seems rather odd.
hopefully those who wanted the color will now finally be able to get one.
you guys do realize that with this product release the wait for the iphone 5 will be a long time from now? people that do have iphones or smartphones can wait. but people with phones that can only make calls and texts and batterys that last for 3 hours. will deffiantly jump on this iphone due to the fact it is "new" i for one will be buying this on verizon on a upgrade plan the day it comes out.

NO one uses iChat because no one uses AIM. Its all crappy MSN!
I use iChat with a Jabber ID to chat to my MSN buddies. I don't tend to send them files or audio chat with them so it's fine for just text.

It's WiMax.. iPhone is going to be LTE. Apple is obsessed with thin design. Using two separate chip for 3G and 4G will make things too tight. I'm guessing they want the hybrid chip..
Using two separate chips eats battery life. Not to mention LTE is still "just" coming out, so it won't be widespread enough to take advantage of it until 2012 anyway.

We think so, too. He's about 6-months-old now, was found abandoned at about 8-10-weeks-old in a ditch culvert and was semi-feral. We just got him today from a rescue organization and that picture is the one they had of him on PetFinder.com (http://www.petfinder.com/index.html). Right now he's too excited over his new surroundings to get a picture.

The very least the staff should have done is to have protected the victim as best they could, and stayed with the victim during the seizure. It looks real enough to me, and I've seen plenty.
The sad thing is they are basically trained to not get involved. It's a sad world we live in. If I were that girl I would sue McDonald's for such an inhuman policy, someone should as these sort of policies are just sick.
