If I work little less than 40 hrs will it be considered as part time? Can I use EAD at that time ?
NO. Once you start using your EAD, whether part-time of full-time, it take precedence and your H1 becomes invalid.

2.> I-864 + employment letter (copy will do) + tax returns (last 3 years) + W2s (last 3 years) + paystubs for last 3 months + bank letter
3.> Proof of status for her (I-94s, I-20s, I-797, EAD, etc)
4.> Copy of her complete passport (including expired one if it exists)
5.> Her birth certificate / affidavits
6.> Copy of your I-140 approval
7.> 6 photographs of her
8.> Filing fees
You also need to include the filled in Form I-134.

You can take any position anywhere with anyone...H1B is only if you want to work in the US
You dont have to be physically present in US. One can join a company in US on H1 and work any where else through that employer

I just called USCIS and confirmed with TSC and 2nd level customer service center that my case is approved on monday 09/01/09 SLUD date even though i have not recieved email for same.. Thank you all and good luck.

If EB2 PD is 1 APR 2004 then what does the ProcessingTimeFrame Date(August 25, 2006) mean for I-485 in Texas Service Center.

I would not read anything that Times of India says too seriously. TOI has a history of changing the context or blowing up minor issues. This explains why, even though the recession (post 2000) lasted for a good 3 years, people back in India thought the US economy was booming!

EB3 retrog is completely hopeless in next 2 or 3 years unless the legislation release is passed. Lobbying is the only way to influence.
2 to 3 years is just wishful thinking. This is a permanent problem that we are faced with. Not to mention all the delays at the AOS stage including FBI checks and all that jazz. The only hope is the SKIL bill. WE NEED THIS MORE THAN ANY THING ELSE. I think we are at the cross-roads and this bill will well determine our future in this country

this is not a game , this happened really to me .I am Indian .They did not gave my passport back . They took my passport and send me to Bangalore Airport back .I know they don't have any right to hold any one's property that too a country citizenship passport.I am looking for an answer and advice , not question for a question

Message is clear - in this great recession, people don't want more taxes especially when they are happy with their current healthcare policies and their healthcare coverage don't change a dime for those extra taxes. Especially, when MA people are already paying for state universal healthcare. Why should WE pay for THEM?

End of road for more tax burdensome things like cap-n-trade, climate change bill or controversial bills like immigration reform unless some less-conservative republicans are on board. If it is ever considered, be ready for more durbin-grassley measures in the final bill. Fate of the bill depends on what matters for elections in 2010, probably more populist measures like tax cuts, another stimulus, job growth measures will be focussed for rest of the year..
