You cant really call what Apple has a cloud. Clouds are designed to span across multiple geographic locations...Apple has 1 datacenter, and zero experience running a cloud service. MobileMe runs on collocated equipment in someone else's datacenter.
Amazon on the other hand are excellent at working with the cloud.

Well, actually we can. You can play CoD 4, Civ5, Sims 3, World of WarCraft, Diablo II, WarCraft III, ...
Of course, that's not the majority of games. I plan to install Windows on the iMac I will purchase next week (or hopefully tomorow. ;)) for some gaming. I love GTA IV, for example.
I think more and more games will come out for Mac from time to time.
Personally, I like the symbiosis of Windows software and OS-X. PowerPoint '11 beats Keynote and Word is just fine. Anyway. I will get my new iMac after I'm back from my Sweden trip next week. =)

Are the Transcends pretty good cards? I need to get some high capacity SD cards for some read only storage, and I've never had any experience with SDHC cards.

Transcends in general are pretty good, but nots as good as lexar and sandisk I find. This class 10 card is not truly class 10 I hear...the speeds don't reach as high as the sandisk extremes. However, I picked up this card because I have a 16gb class 6 card that has served me well for about a year now, and is still kicking despite heavy use. The cost and my previous experiences with the brand made it a nice choice for me. For read only I think it is a great choice. For use with dslrs and high speed writing, I might look into the sandisk extreme class 10 instead.

It's not the kid's fault, 100% irresponsible parents. They gave their kids a form of payment (yeah, an iphone is an electronic payment method just like a credit card), and but not for that action the charge wouldn't have taken place. I don't want to have to press BUY 5 times and enter my password 5 times because Shaniqwa can't supervise her 8 kids who she gives an iPod with a billing account tied to her name to. No, that's the opposite of what I was after, that's the bug it has now. Sigh, this is exactly what I predicted, they added a bunch of new features but haven't fixed any of the major usability bugs and flaws it already has. Why does apple show iCal such contempt?

Whatever dude. 2Ghz\2GB RAM\256MB Video\160GB HD and there is NOTHING instantaneous about Parallels at all. It takes anywhere from 1-2 minutes to resume a session and another 2+ minutes to suspend it. This is with multiple images, several OS X installs, and I know how to tweak Windows with the best of them. Then there is the bug where it likes to freeze the entire system when you change locations. Not always but it�s a common enough thing that I have to stop the session to change locations or risk crashing my system.
If it's taking you two minutes to resume a session and two minutes plus to suspend it, on that machine you mentioned the specs of, something is frickin' wrong with that machine.
2.16 Core 2 Duo 20" iMac here, 2GB, stock 250GB drive, Parallels does the following:
- it cold starts in 4 seconds
- it boots my XP VM (512MB of RAM/8GB virtual hard disk) to the Desktop in 9
- it suspended that same XP VM in 14
- it restored that same XP VM in 11
And that's with Crossover for Mac running several Windows apps in the background too, so some of my resources are already drained when I fired up Parallels and the VM. Memory usage at the moment for the entire machine is sitting at 1154MB of 2048MB, 69 tasks, 330 threads as measured by MenuMeters.
So, give that box a tuneup or whatever, because you're certainly not getting the performance from Parallels that you should be getting. Also, check your VT-x flags under Parallels to make sure it's functioning properly.
btw, this is Parallels build 1970, the latest and greatest, and I've had nothing but positive usage of Parallels since I bought it off the shelf in an Apple Store along with this iMac a month ago. 3 upgrades so far, no issues at all.

they probably had it in the labs, but the pricing finally came down this year. 3D is a dud and internet enabled TV's dropped in price by 50% in some cases since last summer
