Now I undertand that building this sort of infrastructure costs money and thus it is logical to assume that they would want to recoup some if not all of that investment. However, why would I want to stream music to my phone when I already have music on my phone?
I could see this work if there was a cheaper iPhone with less memory. It would allow Apple to build its market share amongst people who kust want a phone while allowing them to opt in at anytime if they want to add multimedia files.
Otherwise I just dont see the value. Now if this were some kind of hardrive that allowed access to all kinds of files in real time ala dropbox than we might have something. For that $20 would be a bargain assuming the amount of storage was reasonable.

At $79 a year it will probably be 5 years before the program moves to a commonly useful level where it may have the ability to replace MS Office. The very casual Word Processor user will not have to wait very long, maybe Pages 3 or Pages 4. With the 5 X $79 = $395 we move into the price range of the non-educational price of MS Office. But for the heavy Office user, 5 years may not be long enough...

So, all around, I'd argue that iWork is a cost savings over MS Office, even if you upgrade every time.
Plus, if all you need to make it a worthwhile office suite is a spreadsheet, then there are a variety of options at various price points. These include OpenOffice Calc, KOffice KSpread (both free), Mariner Calc, etc.

I've been checking the UK store (Higher Ed + Normal) since the announcement, the Wireless Mighty Mouse is still not up there. Are you sure you're not confusing the Mighty Mouse with the wired one? ( The Wired Mighty Mouse is is £31.73 H.E, £35.00 Retail)
Plus, I think we've already had a link to MacWorld showing the price at £49.99

The best way to avoid unintentional purchases is to use the Shopping Cart. That way, you can consolidate and review your selections carefully and buy them when you're ready.
For the record, Apple removed the Shopping Cart feature when iTunes 9 (http://www.macrumors.com/2009/09/09/apple-releases-itunes-9-new-media-syncing-options-genius-mixes-iphone-app-organization/) came out last September. You have to use the less convenient Wish List (http://www.apple.com/itunes/how-to/index.html#store-wishlist) feature now.

Trackpads and touch screens are quite different input devices. Touch screen input requires that you actually "touch" what you want to manipulate. With a trackpad, you don't have quite the precision to precisely put your finger on an object on screen, since the object is not displayed on the track pad.
It just doesn't translate that well. Trackpads still very much require cursors, which iOS's UI lacks.
Then all you need is a cursor overlay; just how you operate in an iOS simulator.

Great game so far, who ever said I'll have loads of issues gaming on a PS3 must be dreaming and should probably get an upgrade from a dial-up speed Internet..
Everyone has to bash PSN because its free, only problem I have with that game is people playing CTF for kills...camping with the flag. NFS: Hot Pursuit is a good game, just got it monday and so far I like it, a lot better than GT5

Yeah it was on a touch not a computer.
If you have entered a password and the app downloads, and continue to browse the app store it doesn't require a repeat password entry until you sleep your iPod touch/iPhone.

Phil Schiller recently that it isn't going to happen. "absolutely not, the R&D would be prohibitive and we�re not going to do it. Our solution is dual boot." I'm not on AT&T (been on Rogers and Wind in Canada). On Rogers/Fido or Bell/Telus/Virgin its not uncommon to consistently hit 5-6mbps on an iPhone or other phone (with hspa up to 7.2mbps). They've had hspa+ in many areas for over a year as well.
So hearing 4mbps out of hspa+ which is being marketed as 4G is just sad.

I'm a BMW fan and have thought about restoring an E30 or picking up an E36 M3. I personally would never buy a Countryman but the Cooper S and JCW appeals to me. I understand that this car may not appeal to some people but I personally dig it. It's very peppy and has soul. It does something for me and it's what matters. I've looked at a new BMW 335i...RWD...twin turbo. On paper it has everything a car guy would like but meh...too generic for me.
I actually love those E30s, that is why I wouldn't have an issue driving any example. At least I'd be driving a decent car or something that was when new.
I had all sorts of cars over the years, almost exclusively German premium ones but my biggest regret is not to get a 318is when I had the chance. I went for a practical E46 Touring (third in a row) and later I bought a 1983 SL280. That was a more special car but I still have a lot of admiration for those small BMW sport coupes. That is why actually, that I have high hopes about the 1 series coupes. The history is there, you can see the DNA, that's what BMW is very good at.

So a friend told me there was a gathering in Boston Common a few miles away. I didn't leave my house until almost 2AM so I was a bit late but I stuck around until the police got the crowd to disperse. I only had my on camera flash and there is NO LIGHT there so I did what I could.
