That's my main concern with the next iPhone and iOS. Android has really evolved and come along way since its first iterations whereas iOS has started to become a tad bit stale, even with jailbreaking.
That is the million dollar question. What will it have, what won't it have...? No one really knows at this point; except Apple...
I suspect they're waiting for the release of Lion, then they'll start on the iOS stuff shortly after. They could be doing it in parallel. But I'm sure they don't want to sabotage their own product announcements. I mean, more people want iOS 5 than Lion, because more people own iPhones. If they announce both, then Lion will be overshadowed...IMO.

I hate the name Zune.
it reminds me of the month June, but with a Z instead. no way is M$ going to come up with a product that even remotely rivals the iPod.

This is a false rumor. Absolutely no way will this happen.
First of all Google failed with their TV.
Second of all, it is much better to have the components separate. You can more easily pass the audio to a home entertainment system for surround sound. With a component built into the TV, you have cables going back in the other direction to the receiver. If audio and video both take the same path there is less change of them getting out of sync.

what are you after then?

A little harsh here - you don't know if he payed for the music or not and it might also contain movies and other stuff. I know many people that collect lots of music CD's and movie DVDs over the many moons they are on the planet and ripping that in high quality needs lots of storage. Many people try to rip at highest quality possible and that is expensive storage wise. Just don't assume it's is stolen - might be, but you and I don't know.
Because many people get angry about just anything that Apple does ... so I'm not sure why they go to a MacRumor site which is apple biased - but that might be just a way for them to vent off their frustration with life.

Arrrh I've been waiting for one of these for ages! I gave up and got a standard Apple Wireless Mouse a few months back! Arrgh!
I hope they have improved some of the small glitches people have with them, making it generally a nicer product, as I know some people totally hate its guts!
Different colour variations might be interesting, but the laser technology seems a step in the right direction at least, showing they have at least put a bit of thought into it and not just made the standard one with a bluetooth transceiver and batteries.
Heres to hoping its a top notch product!

I believe that it isn't suggesting anything at all. When you go to list the devices that your application is compatible with, that is likely just an exposed extra field for if you wanted to include another device that is capable. It is in my opinion, nothing but a little bug. (Though emulating iOS apps om my Mac would be cool :P)

You're reaching pretty hard there. Apple makes consumer electronics that I enjoy using everyday. They're creating new markets and innovating existing ones. I don't understand how you can think that enjoying that is a bad thing.
I don't think that enjoying the products is a bad thing at all. I think I provide a good analogy. I never head a non investing bragging about how much money the electric company makes or how happy they were that their health insurance company had a record year. I just find it strange.

That'll really knock the wind out of Zune.
I hope so! But if I get a MPB then theres no way I could get a ipod video. Ohwell I would be getting a 2.33ghz core 2 duo 15.4inch macbook pro with 2gb of ram, good grpahics, Dual 6x Double Layer Superdrive, FW800, FW400, Two USBs, 120gb!

That may be ok in iOS and on my iPad as it is easy to use with touch technology, but as more and more business professionals are adopting mac laptops, iMacs or Mac Pros - that is very unprofessional looking to be on a potential business computer. I know Apple wants to be uniform across devices and we are moving closer and closer to everything being iOS as the main operating system. But seriously, businesses will think that is not professional and we are going back to the non-uniform weird looking DOS-based application days. It is true, there is no uniforminality in the apps in the app store. It is having a consistent UI that made it easier for everyone to adopt Windows back in the day. Every application had the same looking and functionality in the GUI; so there was no learning curve.
That iCal may be easy to use, but is unprofessional looking for potential business computers. Also, many people use ical as it integrates so well with other applications. I still say combine Apple Mail, iCal, and address book into 1 application - so I do not have to have 3 apps open taking up screen space and using more resources. That is what we have in Windows and Linux.
AND KEEP IT PROFESSIONAL LOOKING!

Apple has this market wrapped up. People don't know what an MP3 player is, they know what an iPod is.
Those who love the Zune are hypocrites. Everyone hates the iPod. Why? Inferior everything. Plus you are locked into the iPod/iTunes/iTMS and can't do what you want with your music.
Now, MS is doing the same thing. And everyone praises it. They are pulling the same add campaign as Sandisk was. Conforming isn't cool, don't be a sheep. If everyone starts buying a Zune aren't you still a sheep if you buy it? Not to mention they are dumping PlaysForSure, the DRM they helped build, and screwing tons of people who have bought PFS music already. Not to mention screwing their partners.
The fact that the will buy you out of iTunes shows what kind of game they are playing. They don't care about consumers, all they care about is winning. All I can say is they are 5 years late to the ball game. Good luck.

Really? I took the cue from the post count and not page count. I was under the impression that graphic-heavy threads are closed after about 2000 posts.
