In case your FP notice does not arrive before you move, you may want to arrange with someone to monitor your mailbox. I read somewhere USPS does not forward USCIS letters to the new address (assuming it is a permanent move), in which case the notice may go back undelivered.

He called the incident a "stupid mistake," explaining that he had carried the gun while traveling through his district during a congressional recess and forgot it was in his bag. Hostettler pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed deadly weapon and received a 60-day suspended sentence. Rep. Hostettler's own actions appear to contradict his hardline no-holds-barred enforcement approach towards immigration. We need to contact the ombudsman office and talk to first Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) Ombudsman Mr Prakash . This office can pursue INS to change its policies and has the authority to do that.

Hi Friends,
Recently, my brother's wife got GC-rejection. Though, my brother has already received his GC. The reason is : her status was invalid for a month in US. She got different I-94 expiration date than him during her first visit in 1999, though they landed here together. But, her I-94 expired earlier than my brother and he extended her Visa based on his I-94 expiration date. My brother did not realize it until now.
What are her option now? The attorney is applying for re-consideration based on husband & kids status (US born), but, they said chances of the acceptance are very slim. They are well settled here. Now, they need to go back to India just because of her GC-rejection. And of course she can not come back here again unless she applies for H1-B. This is very devastating for them after living here for more than 10 yrs.
Has anyone faced similar situation earlier. I guess it is a very common mistake and there must be some solution. Please share your thoughts/experience.

Each category(EB2 or EB3) has it's own cut off date. Per March VB, EB3 India is Aug 2001 and Eb2 is U. If VB date is current for both category then I-485 RD matters most.
There are many tread here to predict VB cut-off date for each category. So your guess as good as mine. :)

No, I havent got any audit (atleast thats what the employer/attrny says). I keep asking them for screenshot/update and getting nothing. There is already a case of a friend's(PD-Sep 08) whose constant request for information was sidelined and finally in May 09 he was told his PERM was approved in Feb 09. That was total BS, fearing something is amiss I started off on a screenshot request and I am getting stiffed saying DOL is a big pain and hard to pull up cases. I am already running on my 7th year and this BS has my blood boiling over.
I agree with the second poster's response on the thread that its BS that its hard to pull data. Its either they dont want me to worry or they dont want me to know the case number or detail. I am inclined more towards they dont want me to know the status because on numerous trackers I see Dec '08 being processed and not even whiff on my filing something very rotten is going on. :mad:

We did check that. What we wanted was I.T project manager, but it got classified as CIS Manager.
We cannot change the job from Project manager to Computer systems analysts.
I am going to be promoted as Project manager, so we need to get a PM role.

The Problem is my employer is not sharing this information with me.I want to make decision of moving the employer only if i know that my 140 is approved. My fear is that my employer may tell me that 140 is still pending even if it is approved.

I got an email from my lawyer who indicates the RFE is related to my medical missing from the 483 package we sent. I am pretty positive we sent it, but seems like USCIS has some way to firing a RFE.
Anyway, my lawyer is asking me that getting a new medical done would be better as that is quick and more pratical. Don't know if that might be true.
Any ideas for those who got RFE for medical?
