...file > export > layouts as project > pick version 8. Will this work in 8.5?
Yes, should do :)
All versions of QuarkXpress should open docs which were created with earlier versions. Though there is the occasional passport / multi-langauage version problem which is just a pain in the bum: "This is a multiple language document and can only be opened in QuarkXPress Passport. [287]" *but that's a different topic entirely.

now does this work for downgrading any ipod or iphone?
Yes it does! You just need to download the ipsw corresponding to the model of your device. Other than that the processes is exactly the same.

That Millenium Falcon case is the bomb. :)
I don't really understand the co-location services though... I have a hard time seeing why anyone would want to do that, vs. buying real server services...also it's sort of like a kennel for Mac Minis...*sob* I think I would miss my lil' guy something fierce! :(

Ok, as of today there are no iPod minis at Circuit City or Sharper Image (at least here in Phoenix anyway) and I had found one on PowerMax's website, but they were already sold out of them before I could order one. I had started a deal with another member here, but his unit needed the battery replaced and couldn't have it done and sent to me before next Thursday (that's when I need it). So that said, is there anyone else here who would like to sell me their iPod mini (any color)? If there are any takers, I can send you money via PayPal today if you can ship it today or tomorrow.
Thanks!
Thanks!

NetNewsWire is one of the apps I use most on my Mac. They do have an web app designed for the iPhone at m.newsgator.com which wonderfully keeps all my subscriptions in sync between their full web interface (which I use at work), NetNewsWire (on my Mac at home) and my iPhone. I can't imagine a better setup and now that NewNewsWire is free, I am a happy camper.

I was gonna head down, means an early early start though! I was about 30th in the queue for the 3g - but 7th to leave the store - but that wasn't until like 1330! with all the issues signing up to o2.

Since you still have Applecare left, its not a sad thing, apart from your data loss on HDD .. this one is quite regrettable :)
You are eligible to grab the new iMac .. with Radeon 6 series GPU!! Why do you sad? Call Apple Store, arrange an appointment, and get your iMac there
Go home and enjoy your new iMac!!
Well the reason is, :apple: dont want to repair your old iMac either, since they hesitant to do so, they have to prepare their old stock of Nvidia 8800 chip and have to deal with it. I say they wont try to repair it.
Like I said, Its a nice thing to happen :)

On the "One more thing" invitation page, you say iMac with "Frontpage;" I think you mean "front row?"
If not, my apologies.
ya, you're right.

Paying $30 to protect a $99 product? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Please, the shuffles are made of impact-resistant plastic and solid state memory. And it has no screen!
Imagine paying $9,000 for a weather cover for your $30,000 car.
If you want to protect the shuffle from scratches, a 1 cent piece of saran wrap will do the job probably more efficiently.

It's okay, I understand what you mean :)
My mac's a 14" iBook that's been upgraded to 1 GB of RAM and 80 GB HD. I use Airport (so I experience the delayed connection that you've got post-wake) and there's nothing hooked up with Bluetooth.
I'm so confused as to where this problem could be originating...

This is a pretty cool collection of clips of Miami Live Electronica Band organicArma playing at the Miami Apple Store. Fans of electronic music, depeche mode, and prodigy would be into them. Or fans of cool visual stuff, too.

they have a few EPs and music videos on line, too

Very curious to hear what you think!

I have one, and there's a few threads on this site already about them.
no boot support in OS X, but you can read and write to it if you install the Sil driver.
I use it as my windows boot drive in my mac pro, works great for that. You will have to put the BCD environment for windows on a regular SATA attached HD, but that's the only special configuration needed to get windows to boot from it in a mac pro.

Umm. I think a new iPod Shuffle goes for 129. I don't know if many people will want to pay $9 less for a used one. Hey but I don't have one! Don't listen to me.
EDIT: Oh shippings free. GREAT DEAL!

So is that definitely what i have? it says on some of the memory sites that somes G5s have four dimm slots and others 8. I'm pretty sure mine has 8, but want to verify. As I said before...
PowerMac G5 = DIMMs in PAIRS
4 DIMM or 8 DIMMs do not matter, all PowerMac G5s use memory in pairs -- due to dual channel memory.
Single channel is 1 DIMM installed at a time, the PowerMac G5 is NOT one of these machines. Therefore install 2 at a time.

I want to create an interactive DVD that would combine different file formats such as video, flash, pdf files etc...
Does anyone know what software I can use to create such a thing?
