    Hello,
    I was wondering if anyone (preferably a teen, im 15) would like to make a web design site for a part time job (after school or w/e) Im great with flash and ok with photoshop, fireworks, and dreamweaver. Also i would like some1 who is laid back and likes to have fun while working. I wont be paying anybody anything but we will split the earnings of what we do. You dont have to be the best at any progs , this can be a learning experience and a development of a portfoilio for future jobs(must be good/ok at one web design program) Sorry if thats confsing, im not the best writer but if you are interested email me at chaos@flash-matic.com or reply to this

    I successfully ported from EB3 to EB2 in the same company while on EAD

    Now i am working on the new Eb2 position using the EAD obtained from the EB3 position. I have still not filed my Eb2 485 since dates are not current (priority date jan 2007)

    The new Eb2 job description was similiar to Eb3 but the difference was that now it required masters degree and 1 year experience. This is becasue of more resposnitlity and supervisory role in the eb2 position. Also natural progression...

    I qualified for the Eb2 position without using the Experience gained in the existing company. I had masters and previous experience which was used for qualification....


    Also the older Eb3 position does not exist as it was modified to the new Eb2 position as the role now required more complexity...

    Sharing my experience and wondering if everything is ok with my current situation? I do not have a h1b. I still work on EAd obtained from the Eb3 app and travel on AP and have not had any issues yet....

    There is nothing wrong in asking but the attorney has no right to reveal the information to you although some do. Did you try to make that request through your employer?

    I think some members requested a copy of 140 approval notice from USCIS by filing a freedom of information request. Not sure how though.

    Recently(July 12th 2009) travelled from Hyd to JFK via Dubai on AP. No problems with the airlines. Had to clear the secondary inspection at JFK airport ala Shahrukh Khan...;)

    Note, was using my AP for the 2nd time within an year travelling from India.

    I got stuck in FBI name check for over 2+ years (24+ months)... run out of
    patience or anything :mad: . I now decide to sue them by filing writ of mandamus in court. I'd like to have an experienced attorney do it for me. I'm looking for an attorney who is responsible and responsive, has been successful in filing writ of mandamus for clients to get the name check moving.     I asked this before but did not get any answer. Trying my luck again. I lost my OPT card and unfortunately have no records what so ever of it.
    Is there a way I can get a copy of this from USCIS?

    USCIS will not give you a copy.

    OK There are two places you can find your OPT CArd.
    1. International Students Office of your College (if you had given thema copy, most likely).

    2. The company that you were employed during OPT(Definitely they take a copy of this OPT Card. Check with them.)

    Do we need to go back and renew again after obtaining the new EAD ?

    Yep - got mine 2 months back. Docs to carry

    - Original social security card.
    - Original EAD card
    - The first lady asked me to bring the employment letter. I did not have it with me, I went home to get it and got in another line, that dude did not even look at it.
    - Passport and I-94 (They did not check this) I took it just in case
    - Cash - 25$

    You will get a 5 year license, but it will say that you are a temp visitor till your EAD expires. You will have to take your EAD in when the new EAD comes in.

    H4 visa is the worst possible visa in the world.anytime you file for a h4 visa, there is no premium processing and it usually takes 4-6 months for approval. you cannot work on h4 visa and you are dependent on your spouse. as soon as possible, switch to F1 visa. benefits of F1 visa:

    she will have her own status (in future, god forbid, if you lose ur job, you can always stay in US on F2 until you find another job)

    she can earn on-campus (20hrs/week) and can have a SSN

    after graduation, she will get OPT which will allow her to work immediately after graduation

    Some Univs also offer CPT after 9 months of enrollment on which you can work fulltime if your schedule allows (several of my friends started working full time on CPT and took online/weekend courses)

    you can get ALL in-state benefits on F1 that you would on H4. as long as you can demonstrate that she has been in the state for more than 6 months/1 year (depending on the state)

    Get rid of h4 as soon as possible. that is the worst visa which has kept thousands of professional well qualified persons jobless for years!!

    If you have a viable option: go for it.

    Here is the math:
    PERM: 1 year
    I 140: 3 weeks with PP and 2-3 months without
    I 485: 2 months

    So you can potentially get your GC in lest than 15 months.

    EB3 is not very predictable as many of the old cases are either through CP or at local offices (not accounted for in USCIS statistics). It may become current in above time frame; but if you do have a good option of going for EB2, it will be certain. So if I were to be you, I would seriously consider it.

    If you have the ead card, the file #/card# will tell you which center was your EAD fiiled. To get an approximate date using the online case status search for the file number in the approximate range as yours. For Eg. if you card # is EAC 07 043 52343 - then the center is Vermont, Filed in Fisical year 07 ( Oct -06 - Sep 07) 043 is the 43rd working day in FY07 and 52343 is the case number.

    Hope this helps.

    Its not too late yet....You will get H1 extension beyond 6 yrs if you meet one of the below conditions:

    -- labor certification is pending for 365 days ---(This is not applicable to you)

    -- I-140 is approved -- (You have a chance with this option)

    Apply asap for labor certification. With the PERM process it usually takes 2-3 months to get it certified. Then you can apply for I-140 in Premium Processing and get it certified within 15 days.

    Make sure you hire a good attorney and push to get the 2 stages cleared fast. Then you can file for H1 extension and get a 3 yr extension with approved I-140.

    I am very keen to try and get a state chapter from Indiana. There have to be at least half a dozen of us.

    There are millions of Starbucks in the area, maybe we can monopolize a corner in one of them some time.

    From what I have read here then most of the replies are in the Indianapolis and northern suburbs, so I am proposing that we meet this Saturday at the Starbucks in Westfield!

    By this location I mean where Ashleys furniture is on US 31 and 146th Street.

    I can make it any time on Saturday but we have to set on a time, I am suggesting 11am.

    Honestly you are not in very good shape. You can't use AC21 so can't port your GC.

    If your old employer withdraws your 140 (which many small firms do) you won't get to retain your PD. Now some lawyers think you may retain your PD but it is debatable.

    Also, if you file your GC through a respectable non H1B dependent firm and your case does not go for audit, you will get labor + 140 within a year. Else it may take 3+ years.

    I don't think there's anyway around it. Try to visit over a weekend, leave Friday evening and return Sunday. If you not you will loose the your PR which would be a waste.
