I think "1" gig is more than enough.

well if apple is going to rely on sony for bluray then they will have to wait cuz sony is gonna use them all up on the PS3
Hay. PS3's drive is not BD-R drive. You can't burn disc in PS3. btw Sony have already shipped Bluray burners with their new VAIO.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forums and I love playing Starcraft 2 on my brand new 17inch MacBook I recently bought last week. My question is does anyone use the blackwidow keyboard setup with a MacBook and does it work well with the MacBook because I know it isn't Mac compatible yet. I went to the store and they said the windows key would not react as a command key. And using a external keyboard with a MacBook pro is it comfortable or does it feel just awkward?

How on Earth is a patent like that supposed to promote innovation?

Apple will surely manage this, but what about the independent developer with no huge pile of cash to throw at some lawyers? THAT is the problem here.. :(
Are there any cases of giant companies suing indies for patent infringement? I realise it often happens the other way around, but I can't recall a case where some poor indie is muscled out of business via a patent. It just doesn't seem worth it.

I don't think the person you are responding to was equating homosexuality with anything. If you've ever given blood, which I have many times, you would know that you have to fill out a form every time which asks you questions based on high-risk behaviors, including sex-for-money, intravenous drug use, and male-to-male sex. They are in no way equated.
Except that the question "male to male sex" is discriminatory. It doesn't ask you "received anal sex", it asks you about your sexual orientation. Plain and simple, discriminatory and non-scientific because male-to-female sex has the exact same risks.

Considering Christmas is just under 3 weeks away, I decided to switch to a Christmas wallpaper (will keep this for the rest of 2010) :)
I found this wallpaper about a year ago and it originally had the words "A South Park Christmas" at the bottom (which I digitally removed in iPhoto). It's amazing how fast 2010 has gone but then again, everyone says that every year :D

MUAHAAHA. Both of this chucklehead's crap auctions have been nullified and zapped into the ether by eBay. The original link is dead and searching the seller's past auctions yields no iphone auctions...only a fugly handbag he used when he was crossdressing. Here are my reasons, so all you invective commenters can hold your horses. In my case, say you were waiting for an iPhone 5, and the rumors are (from numerous credible sources) that it's going to be delayed until Fall. Ok, big deal, it's just a few more months. But then, say that the rumors also say that it's just going to be an iPhone 3GS type of an update, same form factor, etc. No 4G, no bigger screen, blah blah blah. For me, I want the next "major" upgrade, with the most important feature being 4G. Why would anyone choose to wait to get locked into a contract with such a phone? Why not just get the iP4 now, and have your contract up when the iP6 comes out? Now, in addition, at the time all these rumors come out, you see a lot of evidence that the white iP4 is coming out in less than two weeks. You like the color white, so voila, it makes sense.

Any of these possibilities results in a large number of iPads reaching a overstock and close out retailer like TJ Maxx etc...
Its not a big mystery or a great train robbery situation. And the reason they are probably available at limited locations would be a limited supply of an item (Still High Ticket despite the $100.00 Discount) being sold from a store where 95% of their stock is priced in a sub $10.00 per unit price point is going to be directed to markets where they are more likely to sell - Larger Cities, Stores in retail plazas with other high ticket resellers, and cities with a higher tech savvy population like Austin, Seattle, Dallas, Silicon Vally, New York City...
It the chain has more then 10K units to distribute thats when things get pretty unusual...

I don't understand why the maps app doesn't take your location twice before giving you directions. There's been dozens of times I'm on the highway looking for directions and it thinks I'm on the other side of the highway or it thinks I'm on some street I just passed over.
If it took my location, waited a second, and took my location again it would know exactly which direction I was headed or which street I was on.

Actually, I hate to start a flamewar...As for my iPhone 4, it already seems a bit dated and laggy (takes 10 seconds to open Camera, laggy keyboard when searching in Maps, choppy animations in games). I think this is a software problem though. If Apple came out with a much more efficient and smoother iOS 5 (that made my iPhone 4 feel like a new phone), I would be perfectly satisfied.

Camera takes about 2-3 seconds to open on my phone-I do not have keyboard lag under maps and I have seen some amazing graphics (and no 'choppiness') with some of the games on my phone ('Death Rally' anyone?).
You might be having some problems with your phone-I haven't come across similar threads with your reported problems. I don't see this as a symptom of the iPhone 4 as being "a bit dated".
If you havent seen any threads on choppy animations and a lag when opening up the Camera app, you likely haven't been to the iPhone forum. My problems are not unique. And if you think about it, 2-3 seconds to have the ability to shoot a picture is still way too long.
And besides, your phone is a full 7 days old. It's brand new! Everyone would expect it to be functioning perfectly. Mine is 10 months-old and feels long in the tooth.
