Hi,
Can someone please tell me the entire process involved to bring parents to U.S as Visitors.I know few things but am very confused about the documents we need to send and needed application forms .
I went through vfs site for required documentation (I know we should book the interview date through vfs-usa site.)
They mentioned DS-156 and I-134 forms. where to get these forms from?
What are the documents that should be sent from U.S
What about the financial support proof. Should we show specific amount as proof of support for each person visiting?
Please Advise.

I was with Company A. and had visa stamped for company A till Dec 2006. I switched from Company A to B in Nov 2004. and travelled to India in July 2005. Since I had a valid visa from company A, I didn't got it stamped with company B. Although I carried my transferred H-1 (Company B) and showed it to Immigration Officer upon arrival, which he was fine with.

Hi,
I have fallen through the same situation. Does any one has any estimate or any contact # to contact DOL for this kind of case? I do not have much time as my current Visa is expiring pretty soon.
My lawyer has already sent all the information to DOL and we are waiting for response. I am in a real panic mode at this time.

I went to a doctor who ripped me off big time. He charged $260 ( $100 Blood + 100 Physical + $60 TB skin test) and charged $330 for my wife( $100 Blood + 100 Physical + $60 TB skin test + $70 for urine) and he asked around $210 dollars/ head for three vaccinations ( MMR, tetanus and chicken pox). I did not get vaccinations from him. Then went to my primary physician for the shots(MMR, tetanus) and took blood test for chicken pox.
It took more than 10 days and it was very stressful experience. Is there a way i can make complain about this doctor?

There is a forgot password link on USCIS page. Click on that and enter your email id which you used to create your account. They will send you a link to reset your password.

While eating dinner last night, I noticed a pitcher and glasses set in our china cabinet and decided to try a studio shot. I used one of my wife's black dresses, hung from the light fixture over our dining room table, as a backdrop. The glasses are sitting on a lens and various bowls and cups to raise them to the levels I wanted. I used white poster board on either side to reflect some light. Light source is a single flash unit bounced off of the ceiling. Thoughts on what I could do to make the shot better, aside from spending $2,000 to buy studio lighting equipment?

I sumited my wife's & my I140 and I485 together in this July 2nd, 2007. I already got receipt and the requesting for fingerprinting. If i file a divorce now does it going to have any effect on my processing?

I'm in H1B visa, so also my husband.
In this time of recession, i fear if I'm laid off, wanted to seek your valuable guiance on the following:
- transfer my status from H1 to H4? have all pay stubs in tact.
/ You can transfer to H4 as long as you have all the paper work /
- return back to H1 B status once I find an opening with new company? All I will need to do is transfer my H4 status back to my same H1B visa?
/ Yes, COS from H4 to H1 /
- visa in passport is originally stamped for Oct 2009 when I came from India, and I have my new I797 with validity date as Apr 2011. Do I still have I797 as valid even if I'm laid off?
/ Your H1 petition will be valid until it is revoked by your employer. It does not matter whether it is valid or revoked. Filing COS from H4 to H1 will put you back on H1 status as you will not be coming under the cap /
Please let me have your views on this. Highly appreciate a speedy response.

You can try filing for COS from H1-H4 through a lawyer while she is in US. Most of the times H4 will be approved.My wife got it.

We all know, Mexican govt. lobbied quite a lot for there ppl. Looks like its a fair course. NRIs serve both interests US and back home. India and US seem to be strong allies now then ever, so perhaps we should ask the Indian govt. to voice our concerns.
