I had an RFE which they received on Feb 8th, still no response after 12 weeks.
Is there anything to do here, or just wait and twiddle my thumbs?!

Hi everyone,
Today i got an alert form USCIS that the pending 485s (for my wife and myself) have been transferred from NSC to TSC. Wanted to see if others with 485s pending at NSC have seen similar action.
My priority date is Oct 2005 and my 485 has been pending at NSC since July 2007.
Since TSC is almost current in processing I-485 applications, it could be that NSC might be transferring some applications to lower their I-485 pending case load.

Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. We shouldn't be helping Lou dobb's kind of guys to boost his ratings. I decided to stay away from that chap!! and CNN. I know many of my friends regulary watch CNN and I advised everyone to switch to other channel..what u guys think. Once again congts all.. sleep well and enjoy..

like when the new co is in the process of transfer of h1 or after the transfer of h1 the old co revoke I-140 then ...
1) Will I be able to get 3 yrs extension or that extension will be valid after H1 transfer ?
2) How it will effect the future GC process by new Co.?

Bank denied a consumer loan ,after approval due to immigration status specifically they said no loan unless you are a citizen. i am a permanent resident , leaving in the US for over 15 years. Applying for naturalization this year. Also the same bank had approved a consumer loan 2 years ago and now they say "oh we made a mistake then". Case or no case? I think I have been discriminated against.
Some one please help him.. I dont know what to do...

While eating dinner last night, I noticed a pitcher and glasses set in our china cabinet and decided to try a studio shot. I used one of my wife's black dresses, hung from the light fixture over our dining room table, as a backdrop. The glasses are sitting on a lens and various bowls and cups to raise them to the levels I wanted. I used white poster board on either side to reflect some light. Light source is a single flash unit bounced off of the ceiling. Thoughts on what I could do to make the shot better, aside from spending $2,000 to buy studio lighting equipment?

I will be taking up a new job and I have been told by the new employer that, benifits will start after 30 days.
I presently have insurence through my employer. My understnading is that, insurence stops the day I leave the present employer. Now how do i handle the stop gap in insurence to be on safer side...??

Nope, Co. A filed for my I-140 while I was working for Co. B. and is subsequently approved. Filed for I-485 with Co.A in June/2008 while working with Co. B. Used EAD to move to Co. C.
to summarize,
Co. A's GC filed as future employee.
Joined Co. C on EAD.
Now Co. A is out of buisiness.
Does AC21 portability applies ?

If i understood your post correctly, you have ported of an unapproved I140. I do understand this is for a "future job", but still you have used AC21.
I agree with your attorney to file, because, if you had worked for Company A and moved AFTER I140 approved and I485 pending for 180 days, you don't have to worry about their status. Since you have not yet worked for them, it safe severe your ties by filing AC21.

Topics at this forum range from H1B to visitor visa to citizenship to EB-based GC and sometimes even family-based GC sponsorship.
Agreed that quite a bit of discussion happens on issues related to EB. When you spend over half your waking hours at work, and EB-based immigration affects not just your status in this country, but your job, your finances, and pretty much your entire life, it is not surprising that so many posts relate to EB-based immigration.
And I haven't even mentioned the zillion forms and stages of EB-based immigration compared to others...
At the end of the day, you are welcome to post a thread on any issue you care about (relating to immigration) and like previous replies suggest, the mission of the organization is quite clear.

my case was sent to TX office on 6/29 for 7/2 delivery and i checked online the receipt date was 7/31. dont know why. should be 7/2
but i got FP notice on 9/10 for appt dt = 9/25

I don't want to discourage you, but IV has looked into all these options earlier and has realized that it would be fruitless to try and ask our lazy politicians to take up our case with the US govt. More over this is an internal matter of US govt and Indian government cannot influence their policies and laws. Why would you expect Indian govt. to fight for you, when you left the Indian shores and want to settle down in US for your comfort?
Having said that, if you do have contacts and would like to take the lead in reaching out to the Indian govt, IV will support you. So please do the honors.
Its not an internal matter anymore. We live in a global economy. If Mexican govt. can do it for there unskilled workforce. I guess we have a better case. Dont mind you sound to me like do it alone dude. Most of us have waited years of agony and waiting. Indian govt like any other govt will do it for there interests. Remember all the $$s that pour into our RBI reserve. If you thought that was because of Indians and had nothing to do with NRIs..think again!
Its always about the same thing. US gets competitive having us on there side and India continues to enjoy the NRI effect. Its mutual.

US govt. must get all their money from HBSC and then strip them of their US citizenship and deport them. You can do everything in America except cheat more than allowed on taxes. Everyone enjoys a little wriggle space with taxes...the IRS knows that about each filer. Certain things however cannot and should not be done. It is puzzling that EB3 World didn't move a single day. Per my calculations, it should move three months in each month.
My calcuations were based upon that there are about 100,000 applicants (excluding Indian) between year 2001 and 2005. Currently, China Mexico Philippine's cut off date is the same as ROW. I just assumed that there are about 35,000 visas available for ROW including China, Mexico, and Philipine (the remaining 10,000 for India) per year. In this case, it should move by three months in each month.
I accept that there are lots of loop holes in my calculations as it didn't move a single day.
Does anyone have a rough idea how many non Indian applicants out there between year 2001 and 2005?
I think many of you can do more accurate calculations based upon more reliable sources. Please show me how.

Remember, many workers are exempt from the H1-B quota (people working in hospitals, universities and other non-profit research institutes). Then there are other dual-intent categories like L1 with no cap on them.Even USCIS does not know how many cap-exempt visas it issued.
Second, there is the operation of those two black-holes, PBEC and DBEC. Nobody knows how many apps are in there, nor do we know how slow/fast they will/ have been operating.
But one point is increasingly clear : retrogression is NOT an India and China specific issue. so far all of EB3 is retrogressed. The day may not be too far when that virus spreads to EB2. The only long-term solution is to unitedly fight for legislative change.

In my case I have only one LUD after fingerprinting and then on 30 Nov 2007
again LUD I485 Card production ordered.
same with my spouse also.
Onething I noticed is that most people who are getting approvals, they all have completed their finger printing on or before Aug.
