This proves that the faxes sent via the webfax features are actually reaching the senators. I received a reply from Senator Specter's office too.
As far as the content of the replies goes, this proves again that to a lot of lawmakers, immigration = ILLEGAL immigration. It is upto us to educate them of our plight too.
Wam4Wam, can you call up your senator's office and speak to the immigration liaision? Explain to him that when you sent the fax to them, you had asked for considering pro immigrant legislation for legal immigrants.
You can ask the liaision for a meeting too. We have all the necessary resources you need for such a meeting on our resources website. The CA team has been successfully using these resources. And please update this thread too so that others may learn from you

I applied online for EAD on 10/23, no finger priting notice yet was asked to wait 30 days to enquire about it. All materials sent to NSC as mentioned, my I-485 is pending at TSC. Did anyone go through the same delay?
that is how ineffecient they are, best thing you can do is, site that your h1 will expire and u dont have plans of h1 renewal and u planning to use EAD, i dont know what else could be more extreme than not having an EAD when you want to use it :)

I have 2 approved I-140s from same company with which I am currently working. One PD is end 2004 and another is end 2005.
My I-485 was filed last July with PD end 2004 (I-140 was approved way back in 2006).
Recently, an ombudsman inquiry revealed my PD to be end 2005 and not end 2004. The 140 with PD end 2005 was never used to file 485.
Anybody with similar experience?
How do I get this corrected?

Its simple,,fill in form 10c and and form 19 and send it to HR. They should even help you get it direct deposit in to your local account in India. I got mine....it was pain-less. This was not with tcs,,,another company...
My case is not simple but i did not quit in usa either..i resigned without doing the notice period in india sometime back.
So is it possible to file 10C and 19 directly with the PF office and get the money without involving TCS?

D. JULY EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY
After consulting with Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Visa Office advises readers that Visa Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for purposes of determining Employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) is hereby withdrawn.
Does this mean that we have to file I-485 before August 1st?. From August 1st, the August visa bulletin is effective and all the EB category dates are U.:confused:

ofcourse you can renew your H1B using your pending I485 and you should get 3 years extension. There should not be any problem.
I don't think your revoked I140 will pose any problems as your MTR is accepted.
Filing your H1b and what documents to be included will be taken care by your attorney.

ultimate_champ: If your receipt notice's "receipt date" has August 03, 2007 then you can avail AC21 after 180 days from that date. I guess, your attorney is trying to play it safe or playing with you.

Since you have work authorization (EAD), you should apply for SSN. For job application you donot need SSN but once you get a job then your employer might ask yr SSN for background check and afterwards for pay check. Generally it takes 2 weeks to get SSN so it's better to apply in advance.
Refer to http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10002.html#how and check out Application For A Social Security Card (Form SS-5) under How do I get a number and card? You need to fill out this form.

Got appointment a month before. Consulate automatically checks for PIMS verification within next 2-3 days..I got banamex receipt made by Mexican assistance services, in fact there are many people / company willing to get this receipt made for nominal charges..
Drove to Nogales, AZ. Parked car in one of the parking lot. Cross border by foot through revolving door. No one is there to check any immigration paper for Mexico. People from India do need visa to visit Mexico but rule seems to be bit vague. To visit US consulate in Nogales, one can get local tourist permit (which can be obtained at POA in Mexico immigration. I got Mexico visa for 6 month multiple entry through local Mexican consulate in US. In retrospect, probably I wasted time and money for nothing..No one bothers to check any documents in Mexico, in fact I have look hard to find someone in immigration to stamp my entry in Mexico..
Anyway, got Cab for $7 to US consulate. Reached there at 7.30am. Appointment time was at 8am. But this doesn't matter as consulate will let all Mexican labor visa applicant to go in first (approx 150 of them). I stood in line for about 2 hours, finally got in at 9.30. Process was smooth from there on..got biometrics / photo done and then interview for 2 minutes..IO didn't ask much, just few simple questions..Didn�t even check any extra document. I was advised to come at 3 pm to collect visa which I did. (Spent 4 hours -11am to 3pm in nearby Nogales mall)
Got return cab to border. Took about 30 minutes get new I 94 made. Entered Nogales, AZ comfortably. Car was still parked safely...Returned home happily...Will continue to wait from GC, stuck in PD of April 2006 in EB2

I had the same situation for my daughter who turned 14.They requested for biometric fee $80.00.It should be simple and OK.just pay the the amount and you should be fine.After that you may get a FP notice.
Once we sent the bimetric fee,proceesing resumed and everything was fine.
Same here. My daughter turned 15 and got 2nd FP notice but NO fees as you mentioned but her was transferred to another center few months ago.
I really don't understand the logic of fees. PLease correct me if I am wrong here -I thought there is a 'lock-in-date' which is at the elegibility data at the time of filing. This saves all concerns of aging out and issues regarding fees. They can't keep asking for enhanced fees for already filed cases.

Hi,
We are in a critical situation. My wife's AP was approved on 10/18 and the current status is "Document Mailed on 11/05". It also says "You should receive the document within 30 days".
Our flight to India is on 11/15 and we are wondering typically how long it takes for us to receive the physical paper after the status changed to "Document Mailed".
Can you please share your experience?

Yes. Your H1B will be invalidated if you start work on EAD....
