I have a question with regard to legal status:
Case - My current h1, my wife's and son's h4 status will expire within 2 months. My Green Card gets approved today, while my wife and son's stays pending. Since I have the GC, I may not be able to apply for h1 extention.
(a) What will be the status of my wife and son after the 2 month period?
They will be on Adjustment of status after h4 expiry .
(b) How will I be able to keep my wife and son in a legal status, after the 2 month period
you dont need to do anything extra. if they want to go out of country and come back instead of h4 they have to use Advance parole (AP)

1) I have heard from someone that there is a statement on their website that the transit visa is required only if the stay is more than 10/20 hours.
2) Where do they check for the transit visa? is it done while boarding into the airport in US or while entering into the German airport? If they find that we don't have a transit visa in Frankfurt airport, what would they do?
Please answer to my questions, this is really needed for me to act on getting the transit visa.

If you decide to take a break for few days, then you need a Transit visa, which you can either get prior to your travel by contacting the respective consulates or Embassies or at the transit airport.

How could your friends get the 3 yr extension in their new company. Did they show their I-140 approval copy from previous company ?
In my situation, I don't think I can get the I-140 approval copy from my company.
So, can I move now before my 6 yr period ends in August and have company B transfer my H1B till 2010 (based on current + 3 yr I-797 copies) or wait till August when my 3 yr extension till 2010 takes effect ?

Irrepsective of whether the new H1 is approved / rejected, you can always work for the Employer A, if the H1 is still valid.
If you use EAD, then your status would be "Adjustment of status" and if you use H1B, then your status is H1B. A person can be in one status, only one status, at any point of time while staying in the country.

The link on USCIS page sends only the user id thru email. It does not send password.
Once you get your userid. Click on the forgot password link again and enter both your userid and email address, it will send you a link to reset your password.
If you just enter the email address, it will only send the userid.

My Job Title Matches my Labor Certification Title It was Software Enggineer Now it is Senior Software Engineering, But As I am in IT my old labor certification says about some old Oracle Technology but new job is J2EE and Also my Labor Certification talks about Financial Business Area but New Job is HealthCare Sector.Common thing are Both Says Design and Development of Software application.. Is it OK ?
You do not have to inform USCIS about your move. If you want to inform them anyway, then do it yourself unless there are complications in your case and save yourself some money. It is just a letter and it can be in any format you want.
As for the Job match - the titles do not have to match, the technologies do not have to match; but your roles and responsbilities should be similar. The closer the match, the safer because though USCIS may be lienient today in their interpretation of "same or similar", it is subject to change anytime.
There is the strong possiblity that some people will move on to manager roles from technical roles and yet try to claim AC21 which can push USCIS to tighten the screws. It is better to be catious than regret later.

This is my first H1-b. My interview was on Jan. 4, 2008 in Toronto and got 221g for administrative review. I faxed my research description the VO requested to US consulate in Toronto on Jan. 7, 2008, got the check finished email today. I keep calling DOS for my status during the waiting time. It may work for my case. It is really a pain time. Good luck to you.

I went through vfs site for required documentation (I know we should book the interview date through vfs-usa site.)
They mentioned DS-156 and I-134 forms. where to get these forms from?
What are the documents that should be sent from U.S
What about the financial support proof. Should we show specific amount as proof of support for each person visiting?

I did H1 stamping out of Mumbai in May 2010, not as recent as you would like. The 221G threat level was high as usual. Same jobs for 8 years and its full time position, probably aided smooth sailing. No documents were asked, just couple of questions about designation and pay. The consulate network had gone down that day so was advised by the CO there would be delay in visa printing on PP. Got the PP after 10 days instead of usual 3 days. This was 4th H1 stamping in same consulate.

I have 2 approved I-140s from same company with which I am currently working. One PD is end 2004 and another is end 2005.
My I-485 was filed last July with PD end 2004 (I-140 was approved way back in 2006).
Recently, an ombudsman inquiry revealed my PD to be end 2005 and not end 2004. The 140 with PD end 2005 was never used to file 485.
Anybody with similar experience?
How do I get this corrected?
My category is EB2 India.
I m in similar situation , even though we did not specify about the pending 485when filing second 140, they assigned the A number to the newly approved 140 , which is my current priority date . If you look at your recently approved 140 you will see the A number same as on your 485 .
My lawyer send a request 1 month back to fix my PD but no response yet.
