Hi All,
If we can get one thing fixed, it should be about adding another step before 485, i.e. people should be able to apply for 485 without the priority date getting current/get EAD so we can move to different companies. At-least it clears lot of head-aches for me. I know that I am dreaming, but hey... that's all I got.

Very well said. We need legislation and for that to happen, grass roots efforts from IV to end this retrogression.
Now get back to becoming a contributing member plus supporting IV efforts by opening/joining your state chapter and meeting local law makers.

As the IO officers explained to you, instead of approving some other document(s), USCIS wrongly approved your I-485 application.

Don't expect to see any real improvement throughout the Pres. Bush Administration. Remember politicians do shows. Even the current SKIL bill seems to be way unilateral and that would not be welcome by American voters either. I think until lawmakers truly stop listening to lobbysts and bring a true balanced bill to the table, we will see lots of "shows", but no real result.
It may happen someday, but I don't count on it necessarily in 2007.

On Ron Gotcher's site, they said that they were working to get the fees for the MTR refunded (correct me if I'm wrong)... Because, seriously, if it's wrongful denial, emphasis on the word "wrongful", why would it cost soooo much???

what if the company revokes the I140 ??? Do i still hold the original priority date . I have checked out various forums and it seems there seems to be some confusion regarding the I140 revocation aspect.

I did it a little different: first, I took the one pixel wide column marque tool and picked a vertical spot that I wanted to stretch; second, I used edit >> define pattern and used the marque tool and made it the length I wanted and filled it with my pattern edit >> fill and pick our pattern that ou just defined; third, duplicate layers and mess with color dodge, screen, multipy, color burn, and so on!

but law we have to wait.they my lawyer said we have wait mayby long time.. my case date is april 2006 ..
Q1-do i have rigth to work here now?
Q2-do i have to wait realy long time?
Q3- can i do anything for waiting time shorter?
MY lawyer is good man but i can even talk to him when i need

i lostmy legal in 2002 (b2). during 2003 i won gc lottery . we did al paper work till last step.my lawyer toll me dont go couse deportation. In 2005 my employer apply gc for me (em3) In April 2006 I-140 aproved.now we waiting for priority date..

You should write the job duties, salary , 40hrs.week and get it approved by the lawyer and then email to lawyer. Once lawyer approves you should send it to your friend in Canada and he should print I believe he can notarize in Canada and send it back to you or may be he can print in his company letter head. I had previously inquired (service request) what's up, I was told by phone they cannot even process SR because they are more than 60 days behind published dates.
Things that caused Nebraska to move back:
Transfers from Texas Service Center
180 day name check rule
Some categories moving forward in VB, and they had not been doing pre-adjudication.
They are trying to make processing dates reflect reality (and reduce service requests)
The only logical thing was to move the processing date back, if only to reduce the service requests coming in.
I don't know if they still have to process my SR, it was raised when 60 days behind, but now it is only about 34 days behind.
This is some sign of some LIMITED attempt to process as FIFO for receipt date.

If GC LCA salary is more than it is well planned by the employer. If you run away, at the time of GC you need to show a job with that higher salary other wise you may loose GC.
Usually GC LCA salary is kept low. If some mishap happen, is will be easier to find a job with lower salary.

I have waited long enough to say that. Came to USA and pursued a career in Traffic Engineering. Now I can't even find jobs in India because, many say that my job is advanced for India right now.
Make sure you do a masters in some field in which you can find opportunities in India.

Admin, please remove this post. If INS reads it and amends to verify all the employers then there will be more back logs and more retrogression.
We all know that there are tonne of problems with processing and lots of idiosyncracy but this forum is to solve problems not creating it.
