Chances are the papers would send a staff tog along to take pictures if they are interested. Though no harm in contacting the picture editor if you want to offer your services.

I worked for what was then called Cingular and was in the New York section, and I can honestly tell you New Yorkers are a breed of their own. We got calls constantly about dropped signals, but when probed it was because they were in a subway. Towers are abundant in the NYC area so it is amazing they have discontinued them.
New Yorkers probably and appreciate the iPhone more than anyone else who has them.
lately i'm getting a signal in a quite a few places in the NYC subway on my iphone. i'll be waiting for the train and next thing you know my phone vibrates.

I chose Verizon for my iPad 2, but I have AT&T for my iPhone 4. I figured that would give me the best of both worlds. I haven't had any issues with my iPhone 4 service, but I think Verizon is more reliable on the whole. And, for what I do on my iPad 2, Verizon speeds are good for me.

it is strange that they added a fourth band (VIII - 900 frequency) which is for more of europe, asia and also vodaNZ but doesn't open up anything in the US... even stranger is that i was just in NZ and my 3G[S] (which doesn't support VIII / 900 apparently) was on the vodaNZ 3G network the whole time. anyone with knowledge of this whole UMTS / HSDPA band and frequency thing, please tell me how this worked then?

In CT we are taxed I believe 50 cents on every gallon. The problem is that as gas prices rise people buy less of it and the taxes dry up.

My father bought our Mac a few months ago, and I've been running Elements since. I've never had a problem with it until last week.
I would have a file open, and suddenly, Photoshop would quit and give me the "quit unexpectedly" dialog box.
It isn't foce closing on a specific action--it would be anything. If I wasn't using Photoshop but it was open, it would force quit when I went to a different page. If it was open and I was using a filter, it would force quit.
Photoshop would start up and make it to the editor, but from there, it would be unpredictable.
My father and I have trashed all the preference folders and uninstalled Photoshop, but that didn't help.
We have an iMac running Intel Core i3.
I have attached a copy of the crash report we receive after it force closing.

The 400K drives do commonly suffer from hardening lubricating grease. Sliding surfaces also get caked up with dust.
Stripping the eject mechanism, cleaning it and re-greasing it will usually solve the problem if that is ALL that's wrong with it.

This may just be the beginning. The article in Wired talks about "Data Hogs" and how ATT has been trying to get them to throttle back their usage. How, I don't know. I've been noticing more and more dropped calls on 3G as of late, so much that I have to disable it just to be able to make and complete a call.

If true, this is bad...Apple needs to get people who make movies on board, with pressure from Walmart and Target, movies companys might not come over as quickly, and they really are selling well from what Disney says!

I think what we are all seeing is that the differentiating factor between Apple and "the others" is no longer software. Windows 7 is now good enough that it can easily compete with (and in many areas, exceed) the software offering on any Mac.
It's now down to hardware manufacturers to do the work to bring their machines up to a standard to match the OS. From what I've seen Dell have been making significant improvements in recent months and years and Lenovo still exudes quality.
Three or four years ago I wouldn't have considered anything that wasn't made by Apple. But now I'd definitely look at a Windows machine first when replacing my desktop and I'd give some Windows laptops a lot of consideration as well.

If you are "export to quicktime" than no that sounds extremely long. If you are doing a "quicktime conversion" export it all depends on what codec you are going to. If you are going to h264 it sound spot on.
To speed up my h264 exports I use an Elgato Turbo.264 HD hardware encoder to speed things up.

Hmm... Plastic parts from China. He probably pays $5 max for each kit. Very good profit I would say.
Also if the kid was smart he should have incorporated or created an LLC and than imported and sold all the merchandise under that company. If he did that than his legal liability is pretty limited. They could sue his company for what it was worth. Probably not much. The could fine his company, which he could just shut down and pay none of the fines. He could get away with it with barely paying anything. How do you think all these companies that import Kirf products work?

Its very subjective to the developer whether what SQL database sucks.

people are overreacting about this.
1. you physically have to go to places and check in for anyone to see where your at.
2. you control who sees it. you can set it up so all your friends see it or only certain ones. if your worried about someone knowing your not at home. you might want to think who you have for friends on your FB account because they are the only ones that will know where you are or you aren't
