I use AIM and Gmail with iChat. It works fine. I never chat with my .mac account.
What if the rumored mapping or phone stuff that might be part of Leopard is only for .Mac users?
.Mac users can call people from their computers or get .Mac Earth or something similar.
Also, iCal needs to go online (add, edit, etc. from the Internet), storage needs to go way up, etc.
Give me something AOL and Google don't.

I finally took the time to somewhat clean my desktop in order to take this screenshot. Still way too many folders for how I like, but I consolidated nearly 60% and got them in a single column!

As someone is sure to have said already, maybe this just means they won't be making the screen any bigger, and will just be using the same panel. Maybe all of these "edge to edge" screen rumors just mean that the phone will actually shrink in width or height?

So since there is no answer to my earlier question, I take it that the posters who take issue with the tracking have not bothered to correct the issue on their phone and desktop, which would seem like they care more about posting complaints than being tracked.

Yes the icons, dock are from DA in the link at the bottom of page1, the indicators are called willow from DA and check your inbox. <<or send your mail and I will drop the WP as to my knowledge the author has not yet released it.

I was debating on doing the 4.3.1 update now that the jailbreak is available. Is this a bad call? It seems many are unhappy they updated their software. I am currently on 4.2.1. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't. I'm regretting it now and contemplating if it's worth it to roll back since I don't think I can use a current 4.3.1 backup to restore to 4.2.1 (and I didn't save my final 4.2.1 backup :()

Why reform income tax? Get rid of it. Institute a federal property tax (not just real estate) with a moderate cut off (like, say, the first $60K). You can obscure income with all manner of accounting tricks, stuff is much harder to hide.
Yes, it would be a logistical nightmare to get implemented, but once in place it would be much simpler (not that simple means fair, necessarily), and we would be back to the original intent of the constitution.

I have a droid.(had iPhone on ATT but didnt get coverage at work/home) I payed an extra $100 to get the 1 year commitment in Nov 2009 just in case the CDMA iPhone came out a year later. Well it did come out a year later and my verizon contract was up. But I didnt get it because it was the same 8 month old phone and there is 0 chance I am going to get locked into a 2 year deal in january for a 8 month old phone that I wont be able to trade in until the June release 2.5 years later.

2 VZW droids release today the 3G Droid Incredibile 2 and Droid Charge LTE 4G both have unlimited data and allow up to 10 mobile hotspot connections and oh mobile hotspot is totally free and unlimited till june..... very tempting!

I've just installed Windows XP on my late-2010 MBP. I've also installed the drivers via the Mac OS X Installation disc.
After installing the drivers, my trackpad functions started working. For example, right-clicking (i.e., two-finger click) and scrolling (i.e., two-finger drag) work well. This wasn't the case before installing the drivers.
But I am missing one function in Windows that is present in OS X:
In OS X, I would often drag a file from one corner of the screen to the other. I could do this in 2 ways: (1) click-and-hold the file using one-finger, and then, with the same finger, drag the file. However, by this method, I usually am not able to drag the file all the way across in one swoop, so I must let go and try again. Option 2 works better. (2) click-and-hold the file using one-finger, and then, with a second finger, drag the file (while still holding down with the 1st finger). I still get the problem of not being able to drag a file across the screen in one swoop, but in this case, I don't have to let go of the trackpad entirely and restart. I can simply let go of the 2nd finger, and start over (all the while, I never let go of the 1st finger). This method gives me a lot of precision and versatility in dragging files or dragging a selection across long distances.
The problem is that this isn't working in Windows XP (referring to option 2 in the above examples). As soon as I introduce the 2nd finger onto the trackpad, the computer thinks I'm trying to perform a right-click rather than a drag. It's very annoying because I often find myself trying to perform selections of great length, but can't.

I disagree with the "unless it pays money", not all paying jobs will be good for your portfolio. What you put on your portfolio will limit jobs you can or cannot get the next time around.
Then don't put it in the portfolio. If all you can do is one thing at a time, then yes a hole will appear. If you're a freelancer, you will NOT BE BLAMED for a company's evil doings. If you ARE blamed, you don't know how to pitch yourself.
Now picture this, you walk into a very nice office overlooking Sydney Harbor the lobby is paved in stirling silver fixtures while the floor is imported Italian marble, you go into the boardroom for the meeting the table is made of Japanese Maple while there a some very nice high backed leather seats to sit on.
Never send a boy to do a man's job. Or, in other words, recognize the difference between yourself and what you're getting into. If you can't tell, then sayings such as, "in hindsight," will be in your future.
You meet the manager, he assures you that whatever you're charging it wont be an issue paying, you then go into the project.
Now most people hearing that would say "awesome take the job" but in hindsight the organisation politically was not a good company to deal with because it cannibalised the industry in 2001 and had very poor standing with other players. The other players would NEVER take on a person associated with this company due to the bad blood. I am not going to name the company but it was extremely hard to find work having that on a portfolio not to mention leaving it off ran the risk of having a hole on my CV.

The problem was your lack of experience. **BUT** that would only be held against you if you couldn't EXPLAIN it. What I am saying is taking the money you need to see how that will look on your CV. I now work for one of the largest media companies in Australia as a CD and the best advice I can give is you need to see how your work can limit or expand you career horizons.
If you're in a position to pick-and-choose, then either (a) you already know yourself, your talent, your work, and you are NOT the kind of person who the OP is, or (b) you need to go through the fire AND know how to learn from and explain mistakes.

From the Transformers 2 Blu Ray, watch the documentaries when Bay is visiting his editors, 4 editors cutting separately, they all had Mac setups with FCP running.
So now I wonder if they used both FCP and Avid. And the quote from the editor is stupid on that link "I don't know anyone doing 200mil movies and not cutting them on media composer". Benjamin Button was cut on FCP and it's a 200mil movie.
