OWC is making a Mac Pro PCI Express SSD aren't they? I haven't heard about it in what seems like a few months.
They are doing lots of things. They have been talking about the SSD firmware updater for OS X for ages now and it still does not exist. I guess the PCIe SSD requires relatively lots of work while the market for it is small. It may come some day.

Agreed. They're only shred of credibility comes from that pic, I don't think any of their other predictions have come true either. :)

Does do a what i want but removing my floats kinda makes a gap between the nav and sub nav. Though adding in some floats makes the sidebar move again so i'll need to sort out this gap.

One more question: Is the soap essential or is it just to keep the skin sliding for readjustment?
I'm not sure, but it probably plays a role in activating the adhesive. You should probably use the soap just in case.

How well does the Trim protect your phone? If I dropped my iPhone on a parking lot from about 3 feet do you think it would be ok?
Also, could you tell me which Belkin armband you have?
I think it would help proptect the phone in a 3 foot drop, but I'm not willing to intentially test that for you. I actually use a belikn armband designed for the ipod touch (DualFit) because I already owned it.

Well I finally decided to take the Mini to the Genius Bar and see what they had to say about the noise coming from the Superdrive on some of these bad discs.
As soon as he heard it he said we'll replace the Superdrive. That was Saturday. Got a call today to come and pick it up. Got it and now at home and ripping Cars which was one of the noisy discs from before and........
Whisper quiet!!!! I couldn't even hear the Superdrive spin up!!! So happy I took it in, and now with most my DVD collection behind me I won't have a worn out drive when all finished.

Just registered to say that the new security update bricked my laptop.
Thanks, Apple. It just works huh?
Edit:
Tried to reinstall the update, but that crashes with an unknown error. Is there some tool that I can use to debug this installation and see the specific error condition?
Edit2:
Okay. I solved it, here is a description for anyone suffering from the same problem:
After installing 2010-006 the laptop (13" macbook pro OSX 10.6) came back from restarting, my clock was reset to January 1st 2001 and the system could not get a wireless connection. Manually downloaded the update using another computer and moved it over to the laptop. Manual reinstall failed. Set the date back to the present day and manual reinstall worked. The computer restarted and everything worked again.

^^^^^"Thank you for your tolerance" coming from someone named "anti-microsoft" has to be somewhat ironic, right??????
Surely that would be !!!!!!!!!!
???????? would mean its a very big question.

Not much to say about the design, it's a Dreamweaver template right? It works well enough.
Just a thought but you might be better running your site off a blogging platform, like WordPress (http://wordpress.org). It would probably make things a lot easier for you, especially when it comes to updating your content.

Perhaps it can be used in the Mac Mini Media and iMac lines. Future generations will be smaller for notebooks.

This will be a lot longer way to do it, though you may not need to buy anything extra.
Do you have a the VHS enclosure you put your VHSC tapes in so you can play them on a regular VCR? if so then put the VHSC in the VHS tape (forget what their called, about $20.00). Then use the Red, white, and yellow cables from the VCR to the MiniDV, press play on the VCR and record on The MiniDV cam and you should now have a digital version of your movies. Then just hook the miniDV cam to your Mac via FireWire and you can import with ease. This is the way I did it years ago and worked great with FC and iMovie. granted it takes longer but it will be done without loosing quality. I always just start to copy the VHSC movie and come back in 2 hours, so your not sitting there wasting time.

i have one and their color clarity and crispness is better than the new cinema displays and is definetely one of the best on the market. Recommended.

My thought was that as the the other footage is DVPro NTSC converting it to DV NTSC would be transcoding to a closely matching format. But it didn't seem to help any...
NTSC DV is 4:1:1, which is terrible on its own, and doubley terrible if the originating H.264 clips were SD, as you'd be going from 4:2:0 to 4:1:1, so effectively ending up with 4:1:0.
Is this what you're seeing? You need to be exact about when exactly it starts looking like garbage.
