I've had mine for a few weeks now and it's wonderful. All the apple stores in my area had ones with the pink cast so I was a little nervous but it looks amazing.

Not sure the sarcastic comments and put downs were required, I thought I made it quite clear I didn't know what I was doing, hence asking for advice. To reiterate my question and perhaps make it more clear - I was hoping someone might know of a online resource or book which would give guidance on what type of font works well in certain circumstances. Such a thing might not exist as it's such a broad area and very specific to each illustration or logo, but in the interests of self improvement I thought I would ask.

In OS X you can literally control just about any aspect of the the operating system via terminal. I would argue that an expert *nix user has more "unrestricted control" over OS X than an expert windows user can have under XP.

Did I mention that updates are ones and zeros and have no actual weight. MB refers to the number of ones and zeros in groups of eight. Numbers don't actually weigh anything, so you probably shouldn't write this same trite phrase every time you want to mention how big a file is.

The Safarish theme suggested is still very buggy (e.g., the find bar is huge), so it looks like I'll be ditching Firefox and just picking up a RSS reader. By "TBE doesn't work properly" I mean that half of the options don't show up in preferences.
Hmmmm...that sounds like somewhere there is a corrupt file, or something strange. I get the same option set in Win2k and in MacOS. But at any rate, Safari is a good browser, and I hope you enjoy it. Another couple of Safari hints:

So your assertation is that since nature takes a long time to make changes on it's own, any changes we make much faster will be OK. That makes sense, insomuch as now i know that the anti-global-warming people just aren't applying any logic anymore.
My thoughts exaclty.
Sdashiki, when people talk about global warming, they usually don't refer to the phenomenon per se (which is a natural process that changes climate slowly over thousands of years), but to the part of it that is caused by human activities (which is a rapid change of climate due to the emission of greenhouse gases).
from a scientific (NOT environmentalist) point of view cant be proven
